What is the minimum order amount?
Currently, there is a one dozen per item minimum order amount. 

How many cupcake flavors can I choose per order?
Up to 5 flavors per order

How far in advance do I have to place an order?
While we recommend a minimum of 3-4 weeks in advance, we may be able to accommodate your order with shorter notice. In order to enhance total customer satisfaction, we require a minimum of 72 hours notice for all orders, no exceptions. Please keep in mind that your order or tasting is not booked until payment is made. We work on a first come, first serve basis and priority booking goes to our paying customers.

How do your tastings/consultations work?
Consultations & custom sampler boxes are booked approximately 2-4 weeks in advance (sometimes further out depending on how busy we are). Consultations without tastings are
complimentary and held at a local coffee shop. This is a great opportunity to sit down and discuss design/pricing options and to get to know each other better!

Sampler boxes are picked up from our commercial kitchen & taken home to enjoy & discuss in the privacy of your own home. This allows the clients to have more time to decide & not feel pressured. A follow-up phone or in person consultation is then scheduled to go over options & feedback. 

Although we do charge a fee for our custom tastings, we credit 50% of the tasting to orders that are over $400.

Breakdown of Costs:
$10/flavor
1/2 dozen mini cupcakes per flavor
A choice of up to 5 cake flavors + 5 fillings/frostings per tasting. We can absolutely mix and match within those 5 flavors.

Example: 3 flavors (1 1/2 dozen mini cupcakes total) = $30
If you decide to book with us, $15 will be credited if the order is $400 or greater.

If you choose to order a 2nd sampler box, 50% from the first tasting only, will be credited. 

We understand wedding costs add up. That being said, If you choose to opt out of the custom tasting, we will gladly put together a box of extra cupcake/cake samples from one of our tastings or wedding orders for you to pick-up on a different date, for a small fee of $5. Selection and date is based on availability.

We do not offer custom sampler boxes of our dessert bar items and apologize for any inconvenience, however, you are welcome to pick-up a box of assorted extras for a small fee ($5). This is a GREAT option for those looking to sample with sufficient time to plan/book. 

Please note that tastings are not secured unless payment for the tasting is made in advance.

What is your refund policy on deposits/payments?
While we understand that unfortunate circumstances may arise, we regret that we cannot refund deposits or payments made but will work with you to credit towards a future event and is determined on a case by case basis. Thank you for your understanding!

How does delivery work?
Delivery is complimentary to addresses located in the 92121, 92126, & 92129 zip codes. Otherwise, a fee of $20 -$40 will be charged for areas located within San Diego County. Driving conditions such as traffic, are also factored in. For all other locations outside of San Diego, pricing is based on location & time. Please inquire for specific pricing.

If you would like to wave the delivery charge, you are welcome to pick-up at our facility (scheduled pick-ups only) OR meet us at a convenient location during our delivery route. Most weekend orders require delivery due to a strict delivery/event schedule. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis

Do you offer dessert stands/platters for rent?
We do! Please refer to the stand rental page for more info!

How does setup work?
Setup is included with most cake & smaller dessert orders. Larger events or more complex dessert setups will be charged an additional $50. We reserve the right to take photos of any of our work.

What is the best way to care for the desserts?
Most of our desserts are best enjoyed the day they are made. However, they will keep fresh for up to 2-3 days at room temperature if stored in air tight containers. Any cakes containing fruit, cheesecakes, lemon bars, panna cotta & mocha bars must be stored in the refrigerator. Although our cakes are best eaten at room temperature, you may refrigerate. Just make sure to leave them out at room temperature for 1-2hrs prior to serving as refrigeration often dries out the cakes.

Our frostings are made without the use of hydrogenated shortenings that may inhibit melting. While we make every effort to ensure stability and consistency with other all-natural forms of thickeners, please note that we are not responsible for melting if our cakes are left out in heat or under direct sunlight. We regret that we are also not responsible for accidents once the desserts leave our hands. 

Anything else I should know?
Your desserts are important to us, so please take the time to check the details of your order carefully and notify us of any errors or missing information. We work closely off the information on our invoices & contracts and are not liable for any errors (i.e. misspelling of names, incorrect dates/delivery times, color schemes, flavors, amounts, etc) to your desserts that are not otherwise specified on the invoices & contracts. It is your responsibility to contact us of any mistakes or changes required to your original order. Thank you for your understanding!
